About the Code of Conduct
One of the cornerstones of our work is a strong collaboration with Telecom Industry Association (TI) and its members, who make up the majority of the Danish ISPs. Under the collaboration with Share With Care, TI has signed a Code of Conduct, which means that TI’s members are blocking Danes’ access to services that are found illegal by court. The blockings involve the implementation of a blocking sign that the user encounters when attempting to access a blocked page. The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to simplify and streamline the implementation of court decisions on blockings, as the agreement ensures that all ISPs are blocked as soon as a court finds a service illegal.
In 2019, Rights Alliance has entered into a similar agreement on blockings with Forende Danske Antenneanlæg (FDA), which also represents a number of ISPs, which means that the blockings currently cover more than 95 percent of all Danish Internet users.
In addition, in 2020, a Code of Conduct agreement was also signed with Aarhus University, which will affect the university’s 38,000 students, 1,800 PhD students and 8,000 employees.
