Collaborations & initiatives

Rights Alliance’s work on blocking and preventing the availability of illegal products and content on the Internet depends to a large extent on collaborations with relevant actors and authorities.
Our unique collaborations across the public and private sectors have aroused great international interest in our approach, messages and achievements. Therefore, we often share our knowledge and experience with authorities and organizations in other countries, as well as assist with specific implementation of similar systems.
Read more about the different collaborations and initiatives below.
Code of conduct
One of the cornerstones of our work is a strong collaboration with Telecom Industry Association (TI) and its members, who make up the majority of the Danish ISPs. Under the collaboration with Share With Care, TI has signed a Code of Conduct, which means that TI’s members are blocking Danes’ access to services that are found illegal by court.

Article 17 forum
According to Article 17, the EU Copyright Directive from 2019 and the Danish Copyright Act from 2021, online sharing platforms are responsible for ensuring that only legal content is available on platforms with user-uploaded content. In the Article 17 Forum, online sharing platforms and Danish rights holders meet to follow the platforms’ implementation and development of solutions to protect against illegal content sharing.
Dialogforum
An initiative based on Rights Alliance’s collaborations across sectors and industries is the Ministry of Culture’s Dialogue Forum. Dialogue Forum is an initiative by the then Government on June 20, 2012. In the Dialogue Forum, companies, trade associations and authorities have the opportunity to discuss how to create a better framework for a legal and safe Internet in the field of copyright.

Codex
Codex originates from the Ministry of Culture’s Dialogue Forum, which works to limit copyright-infringing content on the Internet, and to ensure that online advertising is not misused as a source of funding in that context.
Codex has been prepared by a wide range of organisations and companies in the industry for digital marketing and reflects a common goal that the Internet must remain a secure marketplace, strengthen legal business and ensure security and transparency for all players such as advertisers, media, payment intermediaries and consumers.
