Rights Alliance joins European collaboration to cut off money flows

At the end of May, the Dialogue Forum’s European presence was strengthened when the Rights Alliance joined the European Commission’s cooperation agreement to limit advertising on problematic sites.

The Dialogue Forum’s efforts to cut off advertising and money flows to illegal internet services do not stop at the Danish borders. That’s why the Rights Alliance has just joined the European Commission’s (DG GROW) “Memorandum of understanding (MoU) on online advertising and intellectual property rights”, which brings together 30 organizations across Europe to strengthen the enforcement of rights through a follow-the-money approach.

The Rights Alliance’s participation in the MoU is through the Ministry of Culture’s Dialogue Forum, which brings together advertisers, rights holders, media, payment providers and others to combat illegal content on the internet. The Danish cooperation list, which is the basis for the stakeholders’ collaboration to take action against illegal services and problematic sites, makes the Danish efforts in this area exemplary. We therefore look forward to participating in the international collaboration to promote best practice and develop new initiatives and tools to combat infringing and illegal services on the internet.
