About Yours and mine online

Yours and mine online is a free educational program aimed at the 7th-10th grades of primary school. It is targeted at the Danish lessons and takes place over 6 lessons.

Many Danish children and young people lack knowledge about what they are allowed to do online and therefore unwittingly watch movies, series and sports illegally. That’s why the Rights Alliance has developed the course “Yours and mine online”, which focuses on the difference between yours and mine, and teaches students about when to be a thief online.

Through various academic angles, “Yours and mine online” explores how we navigate the sea of temptations that we all – children, young people and adults alike – encounter online.

The course provides students with knowledge, a language for their behavior and concrete options for action so they can make healthy, safe and legal choices in the future. It also guides teachers in acting legally with their students.

Throughout the chapters of the course, students will get to know the concepts of copyright, rights of respect and property rights. They will delve into their own behavior and reflect on why they download illegal content and how they can use their new knowledge to act differently online in the future. Finally, students will produce campaign products that explain to others how to act legally and respectfully online and how to stay safe when streaming movies, sports or music.

The course is free for everyone with a unilogin and is freely available on Gyldendal’s school portal.

Yours and mine online is supported by the Ministry of Culture.
