In the ‘UdRet’ project, materials have been created in collaboration with several educational institutions to make it easier to guide students to legal use of study books.
Lack of consideration for copyright when it comes to purchasing study books is a common theme among many of Denmark’s students. Therefore, the Rights Alliance, together with Aalborg University, Technical University of Denmark, UCN University College and Copenhagen Business Academy, has developed a series of teaching materials that are part of the project UdRet. The materials are therefore tailored to the educational institutions’ communication to make it easier to guide students to consume study books legally.
The materials are available free of charge to educational institutions across the country.
Guiding materials
The materials contain clear instructions and guidelines and act as a guide for students in their search for legal study materials. Libraries, tutors and educators play a key role in getting the message across to students.
The material package includes three videos that highlight why copyright is important – also for students, how they can get easy and legal access to study materials and a description of the myths that exist about study books. There is also a guide for tutors, bookmarks, flyers and slides for teachers to use.
The materials can be accessed here.
We are happy to help you on your way
RettighedsAlliancen is ready to help if institutions would like to have their logo on the materials. We’re also happy to drop by and tell students how they can easily and legally obtain study books – and while we serve a cup of coffee, they can quiz us on copyright.
The project is funded by UBVA, Forfatternes Forvaltningsselskab and the Danish Ministry of Culture.
