About Share With Care

Share With Care is a collaboration between Rights Alliance, Ministry of Culture, Telecom Industry Associations and Confederation of Danish Industry Digital.

Share With Care is a collaboration on blocking and information between Rights Alliance, Ministry of Culture and Telecom Industry Association. Through Share With Care’s different platform, users are encouraged to find and share legal, cultural content in a way that is safe and easy.

With the collaboration, which started back in 2013, the parties entered into a Code of Conduct, which means that the members of the Telecom Industry Association, individual ISPs, block the Danes’ access to services that have been judged illegal by implementing a so-called ‘blocking sign’, which users encounter when trying to access a blocked website.

However, the blocking sign not only aims to cut off users’ access to illegal services, but also aims to guide users onto the legal services through behavioural design and information. Therefore, users are introduced via the blocking sign to both the Share With Care website, which informs about the consequences and risks of illegal use, and the FilmFinder, platform, which brings together all legal film and serial providers. Via FilmFinder,, users can search for a specific movie or series, and they will then be presented with the legal services – across platforms and services.

Share With Care’s approach has proven to have a positive effect and that it is actually possible to stimulate and regulate positive behaviour using these tools and instruments. Since the launch of FilmFinder in 2018, many users have used the platform to find movies and series on legal services, and we can see that blocking illegal services limits traffic to them on average by 74 per cent.
